Historical Background
French male fashion was strongly influenced by England, especially from the nineteenth century onwards.
This can be seen in articles of clothing such as frock-coats, tail coats, top hats as well as blazers, ties and so on. Cloth produced in England was also highly prized for the production of high-quality clothing.
