Historical Background
Ancient lead ingot found in Lillebonne in 1840, at the bottom of the Roman theatre's outer wall. Weight : 43,5 kg
Lead was extracted in great quantity in the Roman period, in Brittany mines, where an example of fistula lead can still be seen in Bath.
